Lazy malamutes
SJ took the dogs for a run this morning. She went early but it was still pretty warm. When they got back chief did his usual trick of lying down and drinking. I've never seen another dog do this. It's as if it's just too much effort for him to stand up and drink. Very comical. Interesting is that Indi does not, and has never done this...

Bondi and Munson have been lie-down drinkers. I think it's one of those things that they pick up early, like stamping feet in a water bowel (luckily neither of them do that).
One of the things that seems to be unique to malamutes is the way they scoop water if they're standing in a stream or pond.
